Kyra Minturn
KyraMinturn, born 19th August, 1965 is an American actor. She is most famous for her part as Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson in the TNT crime drama The Closer. Sedgwick received a Golden Globe Award in 2007 for her portrayal of Johnson as well as an Emmy Award 2010 for her performance. The series ended after its seventh season. Sedgwick is also known for her recurring role in the role of Madeline Wuntch on the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Sedgwick was nominated to the Golden Globe for her role in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's roles in other films include Oliver Stone's Born of the Fourth of July (1989) as well as Cameron Crowe's The Ones (1992) The Heart and Souls (1993), Phenomenon (1996), What's Cooking (2000) and Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2013). Sedgwick was born in New York City to Patricia Rosenwald (nee Rosenwald), who works as a speech and family therapist, as well as Henry Dwight Sedgwick as a venture investor. Her mother was Jewish. Her father was an Episcopalian, with English descent. Sedgwick declares herself Jewish and has stated that she is a participant in Passover seders.
